About
Oswaldo Perez is a first-generation college student and a Master of Public Health candidate in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Washington. Growing up with his parents working in agriculture, he witnessed firsthand the demanding nature of this labor. Oswaldo says experience with PNASH has significantly enriched his education by providing a practical framework for researching occupational hazards, such as pesticide exposure, that directly affect farmworkers. In the future, Oswaldo aspires to become a U.S. Air Force Public Health Officer before returning to his hometown to implement data-driven safety policies for agricultural communities.
