Karen Munguia Rodriguez

Karen Munguia Rodriguez is an incoming Master of Public Health Student. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in public health-global at the University of Washington this June. Her interests are in mixed-methods research, community-oriented research, Latino health, and epidemiology. She has previously worked on advancing community engagement with Fred Hutch and a few HIV/AIDS patients. In addition, she is working alongside a Ph.D. student, Miriam Flores Moreno, helping her in her dissertation, which focuses on understanding the impacts of precarious employment on Latino agricultural workers within Washington state. Previously, Karen attended the Agriculture Safety Day in Wenatchee alongside PNASH and is interested in learning about and helping address the struggles that agricultural workers face. Karen plans to continue her education and start her Master of Public Health with a concentration in global health this upcoming fall.
