About

Idanis Cruz is a community health nurse at Sea Mar Community Health Center and a research assistant with the Pacific Northwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center (PNASH). In her nursing role, she partners with maternal health patients to ensure they receive just, equitable, and culturally grounded prenatal and postpartum care.

As a research assistant, Idanis recently completed an in‑depth review of PNASH’s current projects. This summer, she will support the LEADS Safe Project by analyzing leadership survey data to assess the impact of agricultural leadership training.

Idanis is also a doctoral student at the University of Washington School of Nursing, pursuing a DNP in Population Health and Systems Leadership. She hopes to leverage her nursing and public health background to address systemic barriers affecting Latine communities, working toward more equitable health systems for families like her own.
